This is possibly the oldest boat afloat and still used recreationally. Markings on the hull indicate the iron to have come from Tipton Foundry in the Midlands which functioned only between 1858 and 1878. Further investigation into the boat’s history has reportedly revealed that she was in existence certainly in 1864 and possibly 1861 and the original hull was between 1820 – 1850.
The hull was last painted with bitumen in 2013 and the superstructure was repainted in 2012. The last survey was carried out in 2013.
